We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes Platform SRE to join the OpenShift team. The primary responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

 • Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in an OpenShift environment using GitOps practices. • Develop and implement strategies for container orchestration, scaling, and management. • Support development teams in their use of container technology. • Utilise shell scripting, Python, or Golang for automation and management tasks. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Skills: • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in managing OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms. • Fluency with code management solutions, particularly GIT and CI/CD tools. • Proficiency in Bash, Python, and/or Golang, to assist in the maintenance and development of tools that manage a Kubernetes platform. • Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems administration experience. • Proven track record in providing third-level support and design input in an enterprise environment. • Excellent command of English and strong communication skills. • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals. • At least five years of relevant work experience.

 Bonus: 

• Experience with automation tools, preferably Ansible • Experience with systems monitoring, ideally Prometheus. • Logging experience with Grafana Loki. • Experience with Ceph Storage and OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF). • Broad understanding of ITIL fundamentals and their application in a business environment. • Knowledge of networking, server infrastructure, and virtualization environments.
