As a Senior Operational Risk Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring robust risk governance, supporting regulatory alignment, and strengthening operational resilience across the organisation. Your expertise will help drive effective risk management practices, challenge existing processes, and ensure consistency across the Group.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Lead and further develop the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, ensuring effective identification, assessment, and monitoring of operational risks
Oversee outsourcing and third-party risk management activities, ensuring appropriate governance and risk mitigation measures are in place
Support the ongoing alignment of the operational risk framework with Swiss regulatory requirements, including relevant FINMA expectations
Promote consistency of operational risk practices across the Group and collaborate with stakeholders across different functions and locations
Provide risk insights, reporting, and recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making
Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational risk processes, controls, and governance frameworks
Profile:
University degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline
Approximately 8–10 years of professional experience in Operational Risk, Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, or related control functions within banking or financial services
Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, including RCSA methodologies and control environments
Experience working with Swiss banking regulations and FINMA requirements
Experience with outsourcing/third-party risk management and regulatory-driven risk initiatives would be an advantage
Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and influence across different levels of an organisation
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proactive, "get things done" hands-on approach, comfortable working in a dynamic, lean and evolving environment
Fluent English required; strong French skills expected, with German considered an advantage
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with Avaloq would be beneficial
Available to work full-time (no home office)

Position:
Due to continued growth, our client, a leading independent trust company, is looking to strengthen its Client Accounting team in Geneva. Joining a busy, close-knit team, you will work closely with the Managing Director, fellow Trust Accountants and Trust Officers, taking ownership of a varied portfolio while contributing to a collaborative environment where quality, professionalism and exceptional client service are at the heart of the business. Those with generalist accounting experience from corporate accounting, rather than trust accounting, are also encouraged to reply as training could be given in this junior to mid-level position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting of a portfolio of trusts, companies and foundations across a variety of international jurisdictions, including Swiss entities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Prepare annual financial statements and supporting working papers in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Assist with the preparation of Swiss corporate tax returns for straightforward entities.
- Produce financial reports and management information for clients, trustees and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with Trust Officers and colleagues across the business to deliver a seamless, high-quality service to clients.
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, controls and operational efficiency.

Profil recherché
Profile:
- Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Around 3–5 years' accounting experience, ideally within a trust company or fiduciary environment.
- Applicants with solid Swiss company accounting experience looking to specialise in trust accounting are also encouraged to apply.
- Previous exposure to trusts, foundations and offshore structures would be a distinct advantage.
- Solid understanding of Swiss accounting principles, with experience preparing financial statements independently.
- Experience preparing accounts and simple tax returns for Swiss companies is highly desirable.
- Well organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Able to work autonomously while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
- Fluent English is essential; French would be a significant asset.

The Role:
Within this banking environment, the Head of Finance role will lead a small team while remaining highly hands-on. This is effectively a CFO/COO/CRO-type position within a reputable FINMA-regulated institution, combining finance, operations, treasury, and risk oversight in one broad and varied remit. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of accounting, operational, treasury, and risk management processes, while supervising a team of four people in total, including operations and accounting staff. The team's primary focus is financial controlling, reporting, and accounting, with additional responsibility for treasury and risk management matters.
Working very closely with the CEO, this executive position plays a central role in overseeing financial operations, compliance, back office activities, and risk management across the business. The role requires full-time presence in the Geneva office; remote working is not available.
