DEPARTMENT MANAGER

                        

As Department Manager, you will be an ambassador of the brand, a business developer responsible for the sales of all categories, leading by example, spending most of the time on the shop floor developing the business and client portfolio. You will also be a talent manager and a skills developer, coaching and developing each member of the team, as well as a brand promoter and a client ambassador, always ensuring the utmost experience in-store. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure all processes in-store match the commercial ambition.

 

RESPOSABILITIES:

 

 Business Development:

 

-          Responsible for the sales & profitability of all categories;

-          Lead by example, constantly developing sales of all categories;

-          Assign qualitative and quantitative targets to your team daily;

-          Regularly analyze your category's performances and implement action plans when needed;

-          Recruit, develop, and retain clients;

-          Implement clienteling actions and ensure their implementation and follow-up;

-          Be the link between store management and your department;

-          Provide relevant analysis and feedback on your department performance to the store manager;

-          Share store targets, performances, competitors' information, best practices, or market trends with your staff.

 

People Management:

 

-            Lead and manage the department staff;

-            Create and maintain a positive and motivating work environment;

-            Develop a strong team spirit;

-            Regularly coach each member of your team;

-            Partner with the regional client development manager;

-            Maximize the potential of all product categories carried in the store;

-            Build a loyal clientele;

-            Establish a client-centric mindset in-store;

-            Act as an ambassador in your local market;

-            Be aware of the competitive landscape and market trends.

Position: Are you an experienced and dynamic senior trust officer looking for a new challenge? The chance to be part of a seasoned boutique with good people and high quality work. Perhaps you are unhappy in your current role, for various reasons, or simply excited by the idea of having a real impact on the business, which is independent. You should be used to handling a complex portfolio of clients with lots of structures and companies behind. As an experienced trustee or senior trust officer, you are comfortable on the client relationship side (a client base or network is not necessary to bring, although is of course welcome). Duties to include but not limited to: - Manage, administer and monitor a varied client portfolio - Work closely with the 2 managing directors and one other senior trust officer for the initial set up of new structures, including opening of accounts, putting in place necessary agreements etc - All work in relation with the portfolio of team clients including the review of complex - Maintain a liaison with clients and their advisers, gathering information regarding their affairs, in order to provide good services and ascertain their needs are fulfilled and structure remains adapted to their evolving needs - Carry out instructions such as arranging transfers and other administrative tasks as requested by clients, promptly and accurately - Structures and the obtaining of legal and tax opinions where required - Maintain good relationship with banks /investment managers on behalf of the clients - Be responsible for collection own client's fee notes - Maintain clear and proper records in a professional manner, including to the database - The occasional drafting of simple trust deeds and trust administration documents (resolutions etc.) as well as agreements- in this regard working regularly with external legal counsel + closely with their UK senior lawyer - Ensure a prompt and professional service is provided to clients and intermediaries - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client entities, ensuring all statutory obligations are complied with - Promote the range of services the Group can provide to existing clients within the portfolio and identify new business opportunities - Adhere to Risk & Associate compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation - Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management Profile: - 6-10 years+ stable experience in trusts administration as well client relationship management - Masters or Bachelor degree as well as STEP qualified a must - Able to run a portfolio and you have UK res non dom experience - Confirmed experience and knowledge of complex trust and corporate structures - Strong client relationship skills essential as well as trust administration - A clear understanding of fiduciary responsibilities - Pro-active, team spirit, well organised - Good communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset - Ability to contribute to and improve the existing work directives and procedures - Strong IT and computer skills - Fluent/bilingual English; some French or other languages a plus Our Client is offering at least 1 day work from home, up to 2 over time as you settle into the position. Position: Do you already have 1 or 2 years' as a trusts assistant or assistant trust officer? Perhaps you started on reception at a trusts company and are now keen to further consolidate your trusts administration experience? Either way, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new office in Geneva where you will be assisting 2 senior trust officers as well as 2 managing directors. Working closely with their Bahamas and US offices as well. Perhaps you are not happy in your current role and keen to try something new or else between jobs at the moment and looking to add value, bring your knowledge and learn and grow? My client is keen for someone to evolve and over time go on to be a fully-fledged trust officer and eventually take the STEP exams etc. Their well-established business can be best described as a "trusts and multifamily office client with a booster" - the booster being that their business is already established and they have a track record of over 10 years (UK, Bahamas, South Africa, Europe etc). The chance therefore for a dynamic and driven junior to be part of a seasoned boutique with good people and high quality trusts and estates work. You should already have some trusts experience as an assistant so that you don't need to be trained from scratch.
