Job description
For an international, growing organization operating globally within the B2B Pharmaceutical, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), and specialized chemical sectors, we are currently seeking a motivated, strategic, and results-oriented Area Manager to drive sales and business development activities across assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development: Execute sales strategies and market development initiatives to expand the company's footprint in assigned international territories.
Account & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with international clients, distributors, and key industry stakeholders.
Business Development: Proactively identify new markets, target clients, and emerging business opportunities.
Negotiation & Contracts: Lead commercial negotiations, manage tenders, prepare tailored commercial proposals, and finalise sales contracts.
Market Intelligence: Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and anticipate market needs.
Pipeline & Reporting: Efficiently track leads, manage the sales pipeline, and prepare regular sales forecasts and commercial reports for top management.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal departments, including Sales Support, Marketing, Operations, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure seamless project execution.
International Representation: Represent the company at high-level client meetings, international trade shows, and relevant industry events, traveling to assigned countries as required.
Education: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, International Business, or a related field.
Experience: Proven track record in B2B Sales, Business Development, or Account Management. Solid experience within the API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) or closely related pharmaceutical sector is mandatory.
Languages: Fluency in both English and Italian (written and spoken) is essential; knowledge of additional languages is considered a strong asset.
Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and networking capabilities, combined with excellent organizational and presentation skills.
