Senior Frontend Engineer React (m/f/d)  

As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Senior Frontend Engineer React for a temporary assignment of 12 months, with high probability of extension.

In a global, cross-functional environment, the PCR Software Development chapter develops, delivers and maintains integrated, unified and reliable software solutions for Molecular Diagnostics Systems. By leveraging advanced capabilities, in-depth knowledge and strong internal and external partnerships, the department drives accuracy, efficiency and agility in innovating the Molecular Lab experience for customers and patients throughout their journey. As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, the candidate will be part of a cross-functional team playing a pivotal role in facilitating agile processes and ensuring effective collaboration in developing software solutions. This role enables the Molecular Lab network to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic solutions and supports the Diagnostics 10-year ambition.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Working with cross-functional agile teams and stakeholders (Product Owner, System Architect, Solution Architect, System Engineers, etc.) to understand and translate complex business and customer needs into effective technical solutions and communicating these to the team and the stakeholders.
• Designing and developing innovative software solutions that meet regulatory requirements as well as fulfill system quality attributes like scalability, performance, reliability, maintainability, interoperability, extensibility, etc.
• Guiding the team to adhere to best practices in software development in line with the organizational strategy and practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration, to deliver high-quality solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Coordinating and overseeing the technical output of external development work within an extended workbench setup, seamlessly integrating contributions into the core team's workflow by providing clear technical direction, conducting rigorous code reviews, and ensuring all deliverables meet internal quality and regulatory standards.
• Acting as a mentor and role model, guiding and empowering team members in technical development, promoting a collaborative working environment and contributing effectively to the team's success.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in the specialized field of Software Development (Engineering for embedded systems and experience in a regulated environment is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of React and frontend architecture (at least 5+ years).
• Experience with Electron or Tauri is a benefit; experience in developing embedded user interfaces using Rust or C++ or similar is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively oversee, guide, and review the work within an external, extended workforce setup.
• Proven ability to solve complex issues creatively and effectively, using a multi-faceted approach based on thorough analysis.
• Demonstrated leadership that fosters cross-functional value delivery and establishes a psychologically safe working environment.
